Map editor textures

Placing textures in your maps is easy:

Get the texture in the editor

  1. Create a texture in your favorite image editor
    NOTE: Texture dimensions must be a power of 2!. Powers of 2 are: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, etc.
    Example texture dimensions: 32 x 64, 128 x 2, 16 x 1024, 32 x 32, etc.
  2. Copy the image into your maps texture directory (C:\Program Files\Altitude2\editor\maps\ffa_my_first_map_parallax\textures)
  3. In Altitude Map Editor click Edit->Refresh Resources

Create a geometry

You can now place your texture anywhere on your map! Click Window->Show Create Geom.
Select your texture from the popup menu.
Click on the map (this will make the center point for your new geom)
Now place the points for your new geometry using left click.
It can help to have grid lines on (Edit->Show Grid Config)
When you are finished placing all your points you can adjust the image position using Image->Transform
