Making Your First Map
Create a PNG image
Create a pretty picture using your favorite image editing software. GIMP (free), or PhotoShop work well for this.
Things to keep in mind when creating your map:
Altitude's visible resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels. This means you can only see 1024 x 768 pixels at a time.
A map taller than 2048 pixels is generally considered too tall.
A map wider than 3096 pixels is generally considered too wide.
When generating your image make sure you have transparency on. Take a look below for an example image.
In your image editor export your image at a Portable Network Graphic (PNG).
Our PNG image:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Altitude\map_editor.exe Steam : C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\altitude\map_editor.exe MAC : /Applications/Altitude/map_editor Linux : ~/altitude/map_editor
